Limited Product Warranty and Remake Policy
Louisiana Dental Implant Lab (LDIL) provides a limited warranty on restorations fabricated by our lab. This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship only and applies solely to the original prescribing clinician. Warranty eligibility is determined by LDIL following evaluation of the returned restoration. All warranty and courtesy remakes are based on the original invoice date and do not extend or restart the warranty period. If a failure is determined by LDIL to be solely due to a defect in materials or workmanship, the restoration will be remade at no charge.
PMMA Arch (Temporary / Provisional Restorations)
Warranty period: 90 days from invoice date. PMMA restorations are intended for temporary use only. LDIL will remake PMMA restorations at no charge within the warranty period if failure is determined to be due to a material or fabrication defect.
LDIL recognizes PMMA restorations as an interactive process between the clinician and laboratory to achieve optimal esthetics, function, and patient approval prior to final restoration. As part of this process, the second set of PMMA arches will be provided at no charge.
PMMA restorations with bars demonstrate remake rates comparable to zirconia restorations. Additional remakes beyond the included second set may be subject to standard remake or courtesy pricing.
PMMA (Singles & Bridges)
Warranty period: 90 days from invoice date. PMMA single-unit restorations and bridges are intended for short-term provisional use during the interim period prior to final restoration. LDIL will remake PMMA restorations at no charge within the warranty period if failure is determined to be due to a defect in materials or workmanship.
Due to the provisional nature of PMMA, wear, fracture, debonding, or failure related to occlusal forces, function, or clinical conditions are not considered laboratory defects and may not be eligible for warranty coverage. Cases requiring remake due to these factors may be eligible for courtesy pricing at LDIL’s discretion.
Zirconia (Singles & Bridges)
Warranty period: 5 years from invoice date. If a failure is determined by LDIL to be due to defects in materials or workmanship, the restoration may be repaired or replaced under the following prorated schedule based on the original restoration fee:
After 1 year: 20% of the original fee
After 2 years: 40% of the original fee
After 3 years: 60% of the original fee
After 4 years: 80% of the original fee
After 5 years: 100% of the original fee (no coverage)
Fracture or failure related to occlusal forces, parafunction, inadequate reduction, or clinical conditions are not considered laboratory defects and may not be eligible for warranty coverage. Cases requiring remake due to these factors may be eligible for courtesy pricing at LDIL’s discretion.
Full-Arch Zirconia Prostheses

After 3 years: 60% of the original fee
After 4 years: 80% of the original fee

Due to the complexity of full-arch restorations, factors such as occlusion, parafunction, implant positioning, tissue changes, and clinical conditions are not considered laboratory defects and may not be eligible for warranty coverage. All prostheses must be returned to LDIL for inspection. Evaluation may include magnified or microscopic analysis.
Remakes or repairs do not extend or restart the warranty period. Cases requiring remake due to non-laboratory factors may be eligible for courtesy pricing at LDIL’s discretion.
e.max (Lithium Disilicate) Restorations
Warranty period: 2 years from invoice date. Coverage applies to defects in materials or workmanship only.
Due to the nature of lithium disilicate restorations, fractures may occur as a result of occlusal forces, parafunction, insufficient reduction, or clinical conditions. These factors are not considered laboratory defects and may not be eligible for warranty coverage.
Cases requiring remake due to these conditions may be eligible for courtesy pricing at LDIL’s discretion.
Titanium Bar Warranty
Warranty period: 1 year from invoice date. Titanium bars are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship only. Coverage is limited to one warranty remake per bar. The original bar must be returned to LDIL for inspection.
Due to the precision required for implant-supported frameworks, factors including implant positioning, scan accuracy, impression technique, seating verification, and clinical conditions are not considered laboratory defects and may not be eligible for warranty coverage.
This warranty does not cover implant failure, occlusal forces, tissue changes, or any chairside modification of the bar or prosthesis. Titanium bar warranties are separate from prosthetic warranties and do not extend or restart any associated prosthetic warranty period.
Cases requiring remake due to non-laboratory factors may be eligible for courtesy pricing at LDIL’s discretion.
Courtesy Remake Policy (Including Tissue & Biological Factors)
If a remake is required within the applicable warranty timeframe and the failure is determined to be customer-, clinical-, patient-related, or due to biological changes (including soft tissue or bone changes), LDIL may offer courtesy pricing as outlined below. Biological changes, including tissue shrinkage, are not considered laboratory defects.
First courtesy remake: 50% discount
Second courtesy remake: 25% discount
Courtesy remakes, including those related to tissue or biological changes, do not extend or restart the warranty period. Shipping, chair time, and clinical fees are not included. Gold crowns are excluded from the courtesy remake policy.
Important Notes
All warranty and courtesy remakes must be completed in-house at LDIL. Warranty coverage is non-transferable. Courtesy discounts are extended at LDIL’s discretion based on case history and account standing. Policies are subject to change without notice.
